Privacy Policy
Satorty is a personal task assistant designed to help people break work into manageable steps. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who it is shared with, and how you can remove it.
Satorty is built and operated by an individual developer. If anything here is unclear, email support@satorty.com.
Information Satorty collects
Account information
When you sign in with Google, Satorty receives your name and email address from Google. This identifies your account so your data is available to you across devices.
Satorty never receives or stores your Google password.
Google Calendar data
If you choose to connect your calendar, Satorty accesses your Google Calendar in two ways:
- Reading events. Satorty reads upcoming events so it can show you what is already booked and offer to add items from your calendar as tasks.
- Creating and removing events. When you add a task with a date, Satorty can create a matching event on your calendar. When you complete or delete a task that Satorty created an event for, Satorty removes that event.
Satorty never deletes or modifies events it did not create. Events that already existed on your calendar are only ever read.
Connecting your calendar is optional. Satorty works without it, and you can disconnect at any time in Settings, which revokes Satorty's access to your Google account.
Content you create
Satorty stores the tasks, steps, goals, milestones and recurring items you create, along with any dates and notes attached to them. This is the content of the app; it exists so the app can show it back to you.
Technical information
Satorty records a per-user count of AI requests each day. This exists to prevent runaway costs and abuse. It is a count only, and is not used to profile you or analyse your behaviour.
Satorty does not use analytics services, advertising identifiers, crash reporting services, or tracking of any kind.
How Satorty uses your information
Your information is used only to operate the app:
- To sign you in and keep your data associated with your account
- To show you your tasks, goals and calendar events
- To generate suggested steps for a task you have entered
- To create calendar events you have asked for
- To prevent abuse of the service
Satorty does not sell your information, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
Google user data
Satorty's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically:
- Google Calendar data is used only to provide the features described in this policy.
- Google Calendar data is never transferred to others except as necessary to provide these features, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition. The only such transfer Satorty makes is described under Third-party services: when you accept a calendar suggestion, the event's title is sent to our AI provider so the task can be broken into steps.
- Google Calendar data is never used for advertising.
- Google Calendar data is never sold.
- No human reads your Google Calendar data, except where you have given explicit permission for a specific support issue, where required for security purposes, or to comply with applicable law.
- Google Calendar data is never used to train AI models, including Satorty's own features and those of any third-party provider.
Third-party services
Satorty relies on a small number of providers to operate:
Supabase hosts the database and authentication. Your account information and the content you create are stored there. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Vercel hosts the Satorty website and web application.
AI model providers (Anthropic, OpenAI). When a task is added โ whether you type it yourself or accept one suggested from your calendar โ the text of that task is sent to an AI provider, which returns suggested steps. For a task that came from your calendar, that text is the event's title.
Nothing else from the event is ever sent to an AI provider. The event's date and time are saved as the task's due date and are kept only on our servers. Descriptions, locations, attendees, organizers, meeting links and recurrence details are discarded entirely and are never stored at all.
These providers do not use content submitted through Satorty to train their models.
Apple handles all billing if you subscribe. Satorty never receives or stores your payment card details; it receives only your subscription status.
How long your information is kept
Your account information and content are kept for as long as your account exists.
If you disconnect your calendar, Satorty revokes its access with Google and deletes the stored authorisation immediately.
If you delete your account, your account information, tasks, goals, recurring items and settings are permanently deleted. Calendar events that Satorty previously created on your own calendar remain on your calendar, since they belong to you.
Your choices
- Connecting your calendar is optional. The app works without it.
- You can disconnect your calendar at any time in Settings. This revokes Satorty's access to your Google account.
- You can delete any task, goal or item at any time within the app.
- You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing support@satorty.com.
- You can request a copy of the data Satorty holds about you by emailing support@satorty.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information, including rights of access, correction, deletion and portability. To exercise any of these, email support@satorty.com.
Children
Satorty is not directed to children under 13, and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to Satorty, email support@satorty.com and it will be deleted.
Security
Satorty stores data with Supabase, encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to your data is restricted at the database level so that only your account can read it. Authorisation tokens for Google Calendar are stored server-side and are never included in the app itself.
No service can guarantee perfect security, but Satorty collects as little as possible and shares it with as few parties as possible.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated and the revised version will be published at this address. Significant changes affecting how your information is used will be communicated in the app.
